What is a donor-advised fund (DAF)?

 

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a philanthropic giving vehicle that provides an immediate tax benefit to you and allows you to grant funds to charities of your choice.

How do I give through a donor-advised fund?

You can give in two ways:

Recommend a DAF Grant
Contact your financial institution or foundation to recommend a grant to Operation Meraki or initiate the grant online (find your provider below). Unless specified, the grant will be sent with only the fund’s name and address.

Contact Your Fund Manager
Call your fund manager and recommend supporting Operation Meraki, specifying the grant amount. Your fund manager will then send a check directly from your fund to Operation Meraki.
